Ponzi touchless sensors avoid contact contagion
Wednesday April 1 2020
Ponzi automatic doors has developed a great experience in the health sector, thanks to the design of manual and automatic hospital doors, which meet functional, technical and aesthetic requirements. Numerous operating centers and hospitals have requested this specialization over the years and which now require changes to the layout of operating theaters and intensive care units, to cope with the Covid-19 emergency. In particular, attention is paid to the safety personnel entering, trying to avoid contagion from the contact of handles or buttons, in sterile areas.
For these environments Ponzi offers two types of automatic doors: the Ponzi PSE automatic doors are designed for hermetic sealing, and the Ponzi PST automatic door, similar as a system, series of profiles and seals, is used in operating theaters as a continuity solution, ensuring good air tightness, with limitation of the passage of bacteria and pathogens in a surgical environment.
The difference between the two doors is in the door closing system. Both of the two Ponzi doors were often supplied with standard openings which involved contact with buttons or grab bars. Instead, contextual solutions to the current Covid-19 infection are being requested by the Health Departments. Ponzi offers the optimal solution for new and existing installations: touchless sensors which only involve approaching the hand to open the automatic doors. The button is added to the standard solutions with a simple and decisive intervention, making medical personnel safe.
